arrow_back Last Minute Costume Change
After choosing the images for your style board, you may want to make some last minute changes.
This video won’t tell you all of the steps to make this happen, but it will give you some ideas for how to program it.
One way to do this, is to use keypress events and next costume blocks for each sprite.
Click on the apparel sprite.
To make a specific event happen when you press a key on the keyboard, drag out a “when key pressed” event.
Change the value in the dropdown menu to something you have not used before in your program and that makes sense.
This example uses the number 1.
Next, make the program change the costume when the 1 key is pressed.
Drag out a “next costume” block from the looks menu.
Test this out.
Click the flag and cycle through the different costumes using the right arrow key.
Once you get to the final backdrop displaying all your images, press the 1 key to change your apparel image.
This allows you to create a more cohesive look for your style board.
Code keypress events for your other category sprites so that each category can change with its own specific key-press.
Now it’s your turn Code your project to cycle through the different costumes to make last-minute changes to your style board.
